It costs 2.5 lac rupees per minute of public money to run parliament and in last few sessions, 2,162 hours are wasted. This is the data put out by an NGO which went to Supreme Court on this issue.
While China next door is fast becoming a Super Power and lifting millions of their people out of poverty,  India is stranded by a mal-functioning democracy.

A twitter hashtag #LetParliamentWork is created for mobilizing the nation on the issue.

There are also efforts for on ground rally on this issue, such as human chain around the parliament.
