There is a beautiful story in Mahabharat. Ekalavya, a natural talented archer wanted to improve his archery from Drona but Drona refused to teach him. However spirited Ekalavya made an idol of Drona and taught himself archery with a spirit of devotion to Drona as his teacher. Later on, when Drona as a teacher of Pandava and Kaurava princes wandered around the forest and found an amazing construction of arrows around a dog’s mouth that did not allow him to bark but still was harmless, he inquired who his teacher is and Ekalavya said it was Drona himself. Thereupon Drona demanded Ekalavya gurudaksina and asked for his right thumb, knowing full well that will incapacitateEkalavya from being the great archer he is. When asked for fairness of this act later, Drona responded that Ekalavya is a great talented archer without any political class behind him and he can be easily taken over by wrong elements and create havoc to well being of society.
As he foretold, Ekalavya later worked for demon king Jarasandha and helped him during his plan to seize Krishna’s kingdom Mathura and even supposed to have helped Jarasandha and Sishupala when Krishna eloped with Rukmini who reached out to Krishna to save from marriage to Sishupala she did notapprove. He was finally killed by Krishna during his attack on Dwaraka. The moral of the story is when talented and good people fall into the service of rogue elements, they engage and help the destruction of the society with great accuracy.
Like in Andhra where they found a gullible Hindu monk to side with Jagan there will be some weak-kneed Bengali monks who will be shown carrot and stick to stand next to her on how friendly she is to all Hindus.
Prashant Kishor is a very talented political strategist. Modi Ji reached out to him based on a paper he wrote and he partnered with Modi Ji political campaign first in 2011 Gujarat state elections and then during 2014 Lok Sabha elections. As per his Wiki, he is believed to be the brainchild of ‘Chai pe Charcha’ and the high tech public meetings of Modi Ji simultaneously in multiple places using hologram technology (3D rallies), even helped with interviewing techniques with media etc. However, they fell apart and based on his responses in interviews later, he mentioned that it was due to his pushing harder for reforms in the new Modi Ji Government than politics permit. Some say there could be other reasons, on him demanding more prominence to himself and some say even jealousy for his prominence. We may never know the truth.
Prashant then moved on to help Nitish Kumar win Bihar in 2015, Capt. Amarinder Singh for Congress in Punjab and recently for Jagan in 2019. He is supposed to have cleverly crafted strategy for Jagan on how to woo different groups of people, particularly Hindus through meeting Hindu spiritual teachers and many other means. The only failurehe had was during UP assembly elections in 2017 when he was employed by Congress, a result of the party non-cooperation of his ideas/suggestions. Now there is news of Mamata Banerjee reaching out to him to craft a strategy for the West Bengal state elections in a couple of years.
In all this activity, Prashant Kishor seems only driven by profits, an election strategy organization giving its resources and expertise to the highest bidder. It is like Desi version of Cambridge Analytica. The consequences of their actions in bringing to power politicians and parties that are inimical to the society and use of clever devices to fool the electorate are not weighed into the decision. It is not like he is good when he supports Modi Ji and not when he does not. In fact, Amarinder Singh though from Congress is known to be a good administrator and Akali Dal is known to be an ineffective and corrupt establishment. His support to Jagan from all portents could be a potential disaster to Andhra with a very strong Christian missionary lobby that helped him win, as it will break the society fabric after an initial lull. The forces are too strong for Christian Jagan Reddyto ignore unless he is prepared to rule fairly for all people of Andhra irrespective of whether he wins the next election or not. Now comes Mamata in West Bengal, under whose rule, rogue Islamic elements are given a free ride to drive away Hindus village after village, where riots, political murders and total anarchy are open to everyone to see, a state is ruled by an insane, insecure person. It is shame enough that the Indian constitution is not able to foresee such demonic politicians and now we have this new class of political mercenaries who are prepared to help her, all for money.
Mamata – the next chapter for PK?
Let us see how Prashant Kishor and team chart the waters for Mamata. He will do a makeover of Mamata, with a kinder, gentler persona, with nothing but goodness in her heart for all Bengalis (i.e., includes Hindus) at least until elections are over. He will bring in polished and professional elements as media spokespersons combined with slick ads and videos. Mamata will show a benign face to Hindus particularly like conducting DurgaPuja and share shoulders with Hindus and even bring Hindus back to their villages by requesting Islamic elements to stop their Hindu purges at least until after elections are won by paying them handsome money. He will buy media time to show how friendly she is and how BJP and Modi are out to destroy the pride of Bengalis and their culture and how RSS is a threat to the country.
Mamata will even visit the families who were politically murdered and declare that she will not tolerate such activities. She will invoke all the Bengali leaders, Bengali pride and start celebrating the Bose Jayanti, attend literary festivals of Tagore and then some. Prashant will give her a theme, to set her apart from the rest, particularly BJP and carry Bengalis for her. Like in Andhra where they found a gullible Hindu monk to side with Jagan there will be some weak-kneed Bengali monks who will be shown carrot and stick to stand next to her on how friendly she is to all Hindus. She will even put back the name ‘Ram‘ in textbooks where any remote mention of anything ‘Ram’ was removed and even allow saffron colour after having banned it in the state.
It is not rocket science, but it is a brutal reality of India where everything can be bought over and fool the voters by political mercenaries. Arise, awake my blessed country and wake up to reality.
